From the gate to the dance floor: guest management for a big Nigerian wedding

Five hundred invitations can become nine hundred guests. Here is how RSVP, personal entry passes & a door team keep an owambe joyful & safe.

Every family has a version of the story: the hall was booked for five hundred, the invitation was forwarded on WhatsApp, & by six o'clock the gate was a negotiation. Big celebrations are part of who we are. Planning for them simply means knowing who is coming.

Start with a real RSVP

Ask every guest to reply once, on your wedding website, & to tell you who they are bringing. You get one list instead of a hundred chats, & you can see your numbers change in real time.

Give every guest their own pass

When you approve an RSVP, the guest receives a personal entry code by SMS & WhatsApp. Each person shows their own code at the door, so forwarded invitations no longer mean extra plates.

Let the door team check, not guess

Your security team signs in to a private door portal, enters the guest's code & confirms the face on screen against the photo taken at RSVP. Nobody has to argue at the gate, & the couple's desk handles the exceptions.

Keep the joy inside

With the list settled, your caterer has a real number, your planner has a calm entrance, & your guests walk straight in to the music. That is the whole point.
